A mabe pearl is a half domed pearl usually around the size of a thumbnail.

A biwa pearl is also sometimes called a stick pearl due to its long thin baroque shape.

A Blister pearl is the the last hurrah of the pearl shell that just produces small pearls on the shell that is then harvested attached to the mother of pearl.
